Hillingdon Mountaineering Club is a friendly mix of people who enjoy getting together regularly for weekends away in the hills. If the weather isn’t good enough for climbing, we’ll be walking, kayaking, running or mountain biking. We also have some triathletes and cavers who are members. When conditions are right, some will take off to Scotland or Wales at short notice for a few days of ice climbing.
We visit the main climbing areas in Snowdonia, the Lakes and the Peak District throughout the year. We also have a couple of meets in Devon/Cornwall and South Wales in the summer for sea cliff climbing. There is an organised meet every month which involves camping in the summer or staying in hostels or huts during the winter. We are affiliated to Shepton Mallet Caving Club and have an annual meet at their hut in the Mendips.
