You must be at least 18 years of age. If you are looking for formal instruction then we won't be the club for you, but the more experienced members are usually happy to take beginners out. It is strongly recommended that you buy yourself a climbing helmet, as it’s an essential piece of equipment for outdoor rock climbing. You will need to come along on a few of the meets before you can join the club to see what you think of us and vice versa!
Membership of the club includes affiliated BMC membership, which covers you for third party insurance. You will also receive the BMC’s Summit Magazine. Membership is renewable in January each year and club members get discounts in many outdoor gear shops across the UK, usually 10%.
As a club affiliated to the BMC we are able to book mountaineering huts in the UK for the meets in the winter when the weather is not so predictable.
